Wowcher is one of the UK’s leading daily deals websites. As a business it uses the power of group buying to get unbeatable deals on great stuff to do, see, eat and buy in a variety of cities across the UK.

The Problem

Wowcher’s business model relies on the quick turn-over of a wide variety of time and group- buying restricted deals. Therefore, to maximise revenues from perishable and often impulse-buy offers, Wowcher needed an intelligent and timely email remarketing strategy, to capitalise on every unique visitor.

In addition, due to the competitive discounts already being offered to the potential customer, Wowcher needed to avoid further price reductions as an incentive to convert.

Our Solution

Initially, Ve devised a customer-centric email remarketing strategy for Wowcher using VeContact with an ongoing optimisation plan. This began with an on-brand customer-service email, which included engaging messaging to attract clicks and conversions.

Next Ve implemented a product-feed into the campaign that dynamically showed deal specific products on email. By taking a personalised approach to abandoned traffic, Wowcher was able to send pertinent and friendly reminders to customers to ensure they took advantage of the deals on offer.

Ve then introduced an engagement-based, triggered email cycle to drip-feed messages to Wowcher’s customers, until conversion or deal expiry. This included targeted messaging dependent on the length and expiry date of the offer viewed by each customer.
