In 2002 spawned a market revolution by launching the first price comparison website in the UK. What started as a comparison of car insurance prices, then grew into an aggregator that finds great deals on all sorts of products from travel insurance to life insurance.

The Problem

The client approached us to help them re-engage leads that had abandoned their website without actually getting the quote they were looking for.

Our Solution

We smoothly integrated our VeConnect tag onto the client’s website in three easy steps. We then used our VeContact app to hone in on the right targets for re-engagement.

Our in-house general counsel and Data Compliance Manager ensured Confused’s email re-engagement campaign adhered to best practice guidelines for legal and compliance standards.

This solution enabled Confused to:

  • Re-engage with customers in a targeted, personal way that supported the client’s customer charter
  • Encourage customers to revisit the website and complete a quote
  • More than double the number of conversions achieved compared to traditional retargeting techniques

This was achieved by focusing on the following:

  • Timing – Emails were sent with varying messages at different times based on thorough testing
  • Prominent CTAs – Strong, clear ‘calls to action’ directed the consumers’ focus to re-engage with their shopping cart
  • Strong Imagery – Strong, focused imagery that was aligned with the brand’s look and feel
